New job

I got a new job this week. I was hired as the online editor at the Merced Sun-Star, a daily newspaper of about 20,000 circulation. It's a new position and part of my duties will include
going out to find content -- written, audio and video -- for the web site. But first, I will lead a redesign of the site. Sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun, and it's with a good company. I know several people at the Sun-Star already, and the paper is part of the McClatchy chain. I will miss working at the Turlock Journal (I was there for four years), but I'm not happy with recent changes there. Oh, and I get to ditch my commute! We moved to Merced a few months ago and I've been driving 25 miles each day to Turlock (and on Tuesdays and Fridays I've had to drive 60 miles to Manteca). The Sun-Star office is about two blocks from our house, so I'll be able to walk there if I feel like it (which I probably won't.)
